Grading for the 5-Day Model & Putnam County Virtual
Instruction and learning will occur in all Putnam County Schools' curriculum delivery model options. Grades are recorded in Schoology, and report cards will be issued each nine-week grading period. Regardless of the delivery option chosen by parents/guardians, the expectation is for students to receive and actively engage in robust learning activities and instruction five days per week with feedback from teachers. We will follow all WVDE and county policies related to educational services for all of our student populations.

SCHOOLOGY
Putnam County Schools students and staff will use the learning management system (LMS), Schoology, for the 2020-21 school year. Schoology will house assignments, communication, and grades for all students.

Along with student access, parents/guardians can also make an account using a code that ties their account to their students. Families can view all assigned work, due dates, instructional videos/materials, grades, and communication that their student receives.

Students will access Schoology using their school email address and password. Parent/guardian codes for Schoology will be mailed.

Below you will find a link to instructions for setting up a parent/guardian account in Schoology:

You can log in to Schoology on the PCS website through the drop-down “MENU” and selecting the Schoology icon.

If you find that you may need additional assistance creating a Schoology account or have general questions on Schoology, we encourage you to contact your student’s school.
