The fall and winter holiday season is known as a time of giving gifts and giving help to those in need.  PHS clubs and organizations are well-known for their giving spirit, and invite members of our community to join them.  See below for opportunities to give!

Some of our organizations have recently wrapped up community service projects.  Our FFA chapter collected items for the CAMC Cancer Center and our Student Council collected water bottles for breast cancer patients.  Our National Honor Society sponsored a successful blood drive in conjunction with the Red Cross.

Several more groups are currently collecting items for others:

Our business clubs, FBLA and DECA, are collecting non-perishable food items for the Five Loaves, Two Fish food pantry in Poca.  Donations can be dropped off in Room 209 or 210 at school.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is collecting lip balm and small bottles of hand lotion that will be delivered to the local VFW and DAR chapters. These items will be placed in care baskets for veterans. Items may be turned in the the front office, or to Coach Ramsey or Mrs. Cottrill. These are due on Monday, November 8th.

FBLA and DECA are also once again sponsoring the Angel Tree Project in conjunction with the Salvation Army.  Students, staff, parents can community members can "adopt" a child and purchase Christmas gifts and clothing for them or you can make a cash donation to be put toward some of the large-ticket items requested.  We have several requests for video games, tablets, and bicycles.  If you would like to sponsor a child or donate cash, please contact club sponsors Mrs. Wright (ddwright@k12.wv.us)  or Mrs. Null (rnull@k12.wv.us)
