Back to School Reminders:

1)   The first day of school for students is, Thursday, August 21. Students can be dropped off at the school starting at 7:20 and must be in their classrooms before 7:45.

2)  The students at Lakeside are eligible for one free school breakfast meal and one free school lunch meal daily.

3)   Students in Grades Kindergarten through third grade who ride the bus must have an adult present when the students are dropped off after school.

4)   Dismissal for Lakeside is at 2:45. Families who are picking students up at the school should be ensure the exits and entrances to the school are clear, they are parked in a safe area, and that the entrances to the businesses near the school are clear. This ensures that traffic remains flowing smoothly along Route 60.

Tomorrow is field day at Lakeside Elementary. A schedule of events is posted on our website and our school facebook page. Classrooms with do awards at a time that works with their schedules. A Hurricane Fired Department truck may be coming at 2:00, as long as there is no lightning. Please send your child with a towel so they can used it to dry off and wrap up. Students may come home a little wet.

While rainy weather is expected on Friday, Field Day is still a go! Some events will be moved indoors and modified. Some events may have to happen during PE class next week.

Bus 1502 is not running this evening, April 25. Bus 1502 students will ride home on bus 1505. Clymer's Creek and Big Creek families need to meet the bus at the intersection of Clymer's Creek and Route 34 at 3:00.

Students who ride bus 1504 will be riding bus 1502 home today. Bus 1502 students may be delayed slightly due to extra stops which the driver will be making. Bus 1502 parents will meet at the normal locations to receive students.

The school will be selling Little Ceasar's Pizza Kits to help raise money for school trips. This will run from March 3-27. The kits will be delivered during the week of April 14.

Buses left later today due to bus changes. 1803 will not be delivering kids home. Students will be on buses 1504, 1208 and 1404. Anticipate delays for all students by a few minutes.

Please check with your children to see if their headphones are working. They need these for their iReady lessons and testing. If not, please send in a new pair. Also, see if they have plenty of basic school supplies (PENCILS, wide ruled notebook paper, crayons, glue, and scissors ). Please send in a fresh supply as they may have run out of something from the beginning of the year.

Starting Monday morning, 2/10/25, Bus 1206 will pick up students on Sycamore Road at Panther Lick at 7:00 a.m. This is due to a washed-out culvert.
