Putnam County Schools will be offering middle school students FREE summer programs July 29 through August 10 to engage students in hands-on, project-based learning activities tied to the middle-level content standards through Project Lead the Way (PLTW) as well as opportunities to increase student success through critical skill blocks. Locations are at Hurricane Middle School and George Washington Middle School. Doors open at 8 AM. Transportation to and from summer school locations will be provided to central sites for families in need of assistance. Governor Jim Justice has proclaimed March 15-19 as Flood Safety and Severe Weather Awareness Week in WV.
