Last night, Putnam County Elementary School Math Field Day Teams met at Buffalo High School for an action-packed math showdown. Students competed for top honors and a starring role to represent Putnam County at the Regional Math Field Day competition in March. A special thank you to PCS Elementary MFD Coordinators Jill Burgess (GWES) and Zach Sallade (CSES)!

Putnam County Schools will partner with Fruth Pharmacy to host a COVID-19 Vaccine, Booster, and Flu Shot Clinic on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Hurricane High School from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Pre-registration will not be required; no appointments necessary.

✅ Present a copy of an insurance card when checking in at the vaccination clinic
✅ If receiving a booster shot, please remember to bring your COVID-19 vaccine card

✅ A parent/guardian must be present for students under the age of 18
📝 Note: Your school office has both student and adult consent forms to be completed before the vaccination clinic. The consent forms may also be obtained on the PCS website (located and linked on the home page bulletin board) at www.putnamschools.com.

The Putnam County Collaborative Pre-K Program will begin registration for their FREE 4-year-old Pre-K Program as follows:
Beginning January 18, 2022, parents/guardians may register their child by visiting the PCS website at www.putnamschools.com, selecting the “Menu” tab, “Parents,” “PreK,” and then clicking the “Sign-Up” button to begin the registration process by filling out the questionnaire.
Please Note: The registration link will not be available until 8 a.m. on January 18th.
If internet access is unavailable, parents/guardians may call Putnam County Schools at (304)586-0500 ext. 1133, ext. 1178, or ext. 1122 for assistance.
Children must reside in Putnam County and turn four before July 1, 2022, to be eligible.
